About
Our Origins
The foundation of Arundel Design Build was laid over three decades ago. After two decades of experience in construction engineering across the U.S. and Brazil, our founder set out to create something new—combining deep expertise in engineering and design with hands-on construction delivery.

In June 2004, Drijam Enterprises was founded to construct both internally designed projects and those developed by external architects. Initially focused in South Florida, the company expanded across the southeastern U.S., delivering high-profile projects such as work for the Catholic Diocese at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Palm Beach and the historic renovation of the Strand Hotel condos in Miami Beach. Additional projects included restaurants, bars, and multi-family housing for the West Palm Beach Housing Authority.

In 2008, the company relocated to Dallas, Texas, and rebranded as Emerald Building Services. Emerald continued to design and construct a wide range of commercial projects, including restaurants, retail, medical facilities, and sports complexes—ranging from ground-up builds to tenant improvements

In 2014, we partnered with Arundel Construction, adding self-performed concrete, sitework, and utility services. By 2016, we fully adopted the Arundel name, uniting design, engineering, and construction under one brand. Through ECG Site Services and our collaboration with Ellis and Levine Engineering, we built a full-service structure capable of managing every phase of complex commercial projects, from sitework to final delivery.

To better serve our clients, we launched ECG Site Services for sitework and utilities and partnered with Ellis and Levine Engineering for in-house engineering and design. These integrated services allow us to tackle complex commercial projects efficiently and effectively.
